SUPPLY TEACHERS

We are seeking to appoint qualified teachers to join our in-house supply team.  You will help to provide planned or on the day cover in a range of subjects throughout the school.  As part of our in-house team, our students benefit from regular members of staff who are known to both the school and our pupils delivering cover lessons.  Farlingaye High School has a very high standard of teaching and our cover supervision team, and those staff who provide casual supply for us are a very important element of our staff base. We are therefore looking to add to the pool of teachers we can call upon when cover is needed to help in the smooth running of the school.

Farlingaye High School is a popular and successful school, located in Woodbridge, a pleasant market town situated on the River Deben in Suffolk and just 7 miles from Ipswich. We are a creative school with excellent resources, lovely students and great results. Our most recent Ofsted report graded us Good with Outstanding areas.

We are part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Kesgrave High School, Bungay High School and Castle East School. We are a Teaching School Hub partner, which allows us to improve teaching and learning on a continuous basis. We are committed to providing excellent staff opportunities through developing and promoting our staff and offering an excellent CPD and support programme for new staff. We are also extremely pleased to have launched our own teacher training provider: EAST SCITT. This allows us to award QTS and also QTS + PGCE Programmes within both Primary and Secondary schools.

Rate of pay will be based on your teaching experience but will be within the standard Teacher pay scales, ranging from £22.25 up to £34.71 per hour. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the Deputy Headteacher Peter Smith for an informal chat about the role.

Please note: only applications submitted via the school’s on-line recruitment process will be considered.

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible but by 12.00 Noon on Friday, 10th February 2023 at the latest. However, please be aware that as we have more than one position available, we will hold interviews when we have received enough applications from suitably qualified applicants.
